Jim and Norena's Excellent Adventure

In about 3 1/2 weeks, Jim and I are packing up and leaving Las Vegas for Ohio.  I was born in Easton, Ohio and grew up in Madisonburg.  We are moving to the country and looking forward to it.

My Day-An Afternoon with the bank and all I got was this Stress Relief Orange.

What a day!  This morning I painted and had such a good time!  This afternoon, Jim and I went to a community meeting for Affordable Mortgages.  Reps from our bank were there and reps from Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac.  The wait wasn't terrible this time.and while we were waiting we were interviewed by Channel 8 here in Las Vegas.  After reviewing all of our documents that we have been submitting over the past 16 months, our rep told us that we would have a decision by Wednesday on our loan modification.  That's three working days after waiting for 16 months.  When we got home we got a call from our mortgage processor and she said it would take at least a month dispite what the rep said at the meeting.  So.....we still don't know how close we are from getting any mortgage relief but,......I now have a bright orange stress ball to get me through!  Oh, by the way, Jim and I were on the 5 oclock news..We are stars!

"Nature's First Green is Gold" Robert Frost on Yupo

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leafs a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.

Tempest Tosses on Yupo

What fun this was!

I Think I Love Yupo!

I love the feel of Yupo!  I love the flow of my paint on Yupo!  I love the results that I get from Yupo!

This is the original Tetrad painting before Photoshop.

Ah Tuesday! Nowhere to go but my Art Room!

I got to paint all morning and I had such a good time.  Time flies and I lose track of everything.  I did get hungry so I knew what time it was.  It was lunch time!!  I painted the new blog header and did a bit of work on it in Photoshop.  This is a Tetrad, all painted with four colors.  I am learning about color theory and now I know why a lot of my paintings are MUD!

What a Day!

Yesterday, Jim and I went out to lunch and to a stained glass store to see some used table for some work space for his pottery.  The lunch was wonderful and when we got to the store I tripped over a 5" curb and went down hard!  I was very graceful!  I went down on my knee then tryed to brace myself with my hand.  I continued to catapault over and went down on my face.  Let's see.  Taking inventory, my wrist is sore, my ankle is sore, my knee is sore and my easter egg above my eyebrow is sore.  The good news is God is Good!  I can walk just fine today, I do not have even a bruise on me, just Aleve and I slept great and I'm up and about today.  I must have a gaurdian angel of clumsyness.  Oh, I forgot...I scratched the lense on my glasses beyond repair so we are off to the eyeglass place today.  Whew!  Nothing happened that cannot be fixed.
